Pneumatic conveying of bulk materials
Pneumatic conveying of bulk materials
Our company is engaged in designing from scratch energy-efficient and reconstructing costly, outdated industries based on the transportation, storage and handling of bulk materials with a fraction of up to 1.5cm.
Often, at the design stage, old, energy-consuming and inefficient material pneumatic conveying systems are incorporated into new production facilities. In some cases huge sums of money are spent on conveyor belts and scrapers with grandiose support structures, with all the problems and maintenance costs that entails. While it was possible to get by with one or two pipes and a pump of the required volume.
An example is the situation at a recently launched Russian plant for processing dolomite rock.
At the first start-up of the equipment, the problem of pneumatic transportation of dolomite flour with a fraction of up to 3 mm was revealed. at a distance of 140 m.
Initially, a Turkish-made jet chamber pump with a volume of 1m3 was installed at the production site, during which dolomite flour hopelessly lay in the pipeline, thereby causing a stop the entire line. Subsequently, the pump manufacturer proposed to replace the existing pump with the same but larger volume – 3m3. In the end, the result was the same.
After receiving a request to solve this problem, our specialists developed and subsequently successfully implemented a project for transporting dolomite flour based on “Beaver-technology”.< /p>
Turkish installation was replaced by a pneumatic chamber pump “Biver 5000B” with a volume of 5m3. The existing conveying pipeline was also completely redesigned and replaced, using the method of lower insertion into the cone of the receiving silo and installing an active flow stabilization unit. As a result, it was possible to achieve stable operation and productivity up to 60 t/h, reduce the cost of compressed air and increase the service life of the equipment.
The situation is described in more detail in one of the articles on our sitete.
Powder Pneumatic Conveying System
Pneumatic conveying system for feeding calcide, gypsum and titanium oxide powder into supply hoppers based on “Beaver technology”.
The production belongs to one of the leading manufacturers of paint and varnish products in the Russian Federation.
The system of pneumatic supply of powdered material to the feed hoppers of dissolvers performs the following functions:
- Big bag unpacking with pneumatic loading of incoming material into storage silos
- Material feed to dissolver feed hoppers
- Metering the material feed according to the given recipe
- Return of transported air with dusty suspension of transported material
into the original silo for aspiration, avoiding mixing of different types of materials
Pneumatic Sand Conveying
The line provides pneumatic transport of sand
and regenerate through the pipeline at a distance of up to 120m

Halite dust is loaded into the pneumatic elevator through the PKNB-3/5N pneumatic chamber pump through a DN150/200mm pipe in portions of 3-4 tons with a capacity of 90/130/180 t/h.
The air displaced from the chamber of the pneumatic transport elevator column is discharged into the air discharge line DN200/250mm, mounted along the pneumatic elevator.
Halite dust is loaded into the pneumatic chamber pump through a receiving hopper with a capacity of 3-5 m3.
Unpacking “Big-Bag” containers with further pneumatic conveying of the material.
